Students were queuing outside the prayer room when the team arrived. Others lined up beside the Prayer Chair to be prayed for during the morning RS lessons. We even had the school cricket team come in and ask us to pray for them!? The 'sorry' prayers were amazing too...
"Sorry for all the dumb things I have done. Pls 4 give me Lord"
And then one that we really liked... mostly because it could help us book another prayer room at St Edwards! "I'm sorry for disrespecting my teachers" Ha ha ;o)
"I'm sorry for sometimes when I loose my temper and become argumentative. And I'm sorry for when I talk about people behind there backs"
Some of them were quite courageous and powerful. "I am sorry for cussing people that are mixed-race"
Others made us smile. "Sorry for being a spoilt brat" :o)
And then there were prayers like this, ones that made us want to weep. "Lord, help me forgive the girl who attacked me on the bus the other
day. And the boy who attached me in January, because I want to get rid
of that pain"
Father in Heaven... please...
One of my personal favourites was this one... "Sorry Mum, 4 makin you stay up all nite curling my hair" :o)
It's been a wonder-full week, for so many reasons. And we're already dreaming and scheming about what we do in and around Romford after this. Watch this space! :o)
