"Little bird, i have heard, what a merry song you sing, Flying high in the sky, (la di da di dah di dah...)
Jesus little ones are we, and he loves us you and me, As we share in his care, we will happy be."
If you know what the 'la di da' bit is supposed to be, and if there's any other verses to this children's rhyme, please let me know.
I received an email a few days ago from a guy called Pete who'd been reading my blog. Here's what he said;
"I was so touched to see that wonderful reading 'jesus hands were kind hands' on toggietales which took me back to my early christian school days.
Now I have my own little girl of 20 months, shes begining to talk and want to tell her about the lord. To me, one of the most important earliest memories of jesus came with a song which we sang from the age of 3 yars old! I cannot remember the full lyrics anymore but it went something like.
"Little bird, i have heard, what a merry song you sing flying high in the sky, ***** Jesus little ones are we, and he loves us you and me As we share in his care, we will happy be."
Not sure this is correct at all. Do you know of it? I've looked everywhere for the correct words but cannot teach this until im sure they are right."
