I know it was a week ago now, but I thought I'd write about it, because there were a few things really worth writing about, like...
IAM10!!!!!
IAM10 was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Me and dad had to leave at 8am, because we had to be there at 9am to help set up, so we had to get up early, which is not my favourite thing to do on a Saturday! But still, I was so excited so i didn't mind too much!
When we got there, we said a biiig hello, and got our wristbands and stickers then put our stuff down.
First, we had a look downstairs in the chill-out area and prayer-room, which both looked awsome, obviously! Then we went back upstairs, and while dad went back out to buy some more props and things, I sat down on the sofa and read my book!
Dad took ages to get back, and a lot more 'helpers' and friends had arrived in the meantime, so i had plenty of people to say hi to! A lot of these people I hadn't seen for ages, so it was great to be able to catch up, and, in some cases, be remined of names(I'm really bad at remembering names anyway)! After a while I started to get a bit bored, and wandered for a bit. I knew that I was going to see Huddy, Holly and K-J later in the day, but I wasn't sure when, and I wished they'd hurry up and arrive! But of course, they weren't going to arive until the doors properly opened at about 12:30, I think... Hehe.
Well, being me, I started to get really hungry at around 11am, and dad and I hadn't brought any food, because we'd had brekkie, and mum was bringing the lunch when she came with Poppy and Angel later on. Anyway, I just kept myself busy by reading my book (which, incase you were wondering, was 'Snakehead' by Anthony Horowitz), and texting my friends, which has become a sort of hobby to me, as has dad being on the phone for ages at the most inconvienient times... Hehe.
When about 12:30pm came, people starting rushing in, and at around 12:45, my saviour came! Aka mum with an immense bag of food for lunch! I said quick helloes, then took the heavy, filled-to-the-brim food bag from my mum's tired fingers and ran it over to the corner, Poppy and Angel in tow, and tugged out a chicken roll... Mmmm.... As I was devouring my delicious roll, more and more people filed in. After a few more minutes (I was savouring the tasty-ness), my dad started talking (not as in, giving a talk, just osrt of, introducing the day), and then I saw Holly, Beth, Phil and Lisa Anderson arrive! I picked my way over people's legs and bags to the back, then went and said hi to Beth, then went over to Holly, who was collecing her party bag, and tapped her. She turned around and gave me a quick hug. 'Haven't seen you for ages!' We were both sooo excited to see eachother after so long! I went with her over to our little corner, and she dumped her bags, then gave me my birthday present, one month and 7 days late! I didn't mind, I love belated pressies! It was a lovely notebook she'd decorated herself in my favourite colours, and my favourite things(I use it to write down inspiring things and Bible verses)! I loved the present(Thanks again, Holly!), and said a big thank you. We caught up with each other a bit, then dad announced it was time to play a game. We all had to get into groups of about 12(I think...), and we were going to play musical statues. I'm not to keen on that game, so I went and sat in out corner and watch everyone else, to see if anyone was getting away with moving(to be honest, people were pretty much caught straight away, and were very gracious about it!). Then the groups had to sit in big circles, and they were going to play pass the parcle. I joined in after the first question had been read out, which was 'What's your first memory of 24-7 prayer?' There were some great answers to this question. My answer was 'I have no idea!' Hehe. I have so many memories, I think i need to sift through them and find which ones are my earliest! Anyway, the next question was 'What's you favourite or funniest memoery of 24-7 prayer?' There were a lot of laughs to be shared on this question, but again, I seriously don't know! Teehee. It's fun to laugh with others about their experiences though, and it's great that everyone was so willing to share! The last question was 'What do you hope for the future of 24-7 prayer?' Well, this one was a great question, many people had really interesting answers. I actually had an answer to this one! Me and Holly are both going to work for 24-7 when we're older, and we're going to share a house/flat with an office in it! I think there should be an 'all-welcome' pray4er room in it too! In the meantime we're going to try and get as involved as we can! When dad came round with the mic for this question, Holly put her hand up and said 'The next big even will have to be held in the O2 arena!' That would be great fun!
Then, after that, the last parcel was unwrapped to reveal some Lego pieces! Then we had to each take a Lego piece and build a 'sculpture'. At this point, I got a little bored and went to sit with my dad on the steps to the stage. When he stood up to see what people had made I went back to look at my group's creation, which I think was pretty cool! Then, just a few minutes after that, I looked up(yet again) to see if K-J or Huddy had arrived, and I saw K-j, Hayley, Mark and Asia there! I stood up and RAN round the outside of the room, practically leaping over bags and legs! Then I ran up to K-J and gave her a huuuge hug! WE wer sooooooooo excited to see each other! I hadn't seen her for ages either, and we were both homeschooled(she still is), so we spent a lot of time together, even though we lived far apart! We went back over to our corner, chatting excitedly all the way, to dump her bag and coat. Then Holly came over, so i did an intro, then Holly went back to sit with the group, and me and K-J sat in the corner, talking and comparing phones(hers is the upgrade of mine)! After a while of talking and constantly looking at the back door to see if the Greigs had arrived, we decided to check out the downstairs, which K-J hadn't seen yet. So we headed down there, and jumped onto an incredibly comfy sofa! Then we chatted some more, and played on eachothers phones. Then we went back upstairs, mainly to check if the Greigs had arrived yet. When we got to the top of the spiralling stairs, I saw Daniel, and immedietly said hi and asked him where his brother was. Then me and K-J followed Daniel up to the 'sticker table', to where Huddy was searching for his. I tapped him on the back and he turned round and said hi, then i had to do another intro. Then I helped him find his sticker(I'd spent a few minutes of my bored hours searching through all the stickers), and took him over to our corner. Then I got his present out of my bad and gave it to him. It was a photo frame which I'd decorated, then put a photo of us at James and Kates wedding into it. After he'd opened and appreciated his present, it was time for mine!!! He got me: An Eifel Tower phone charm from Paris, a bracelet, some earrings and some chocolate! He sure knows how to treat a girl! LOL. Then, after some chocolates(I'm so generous, everyone got the same amount, of course!), we went down to the chill out area, me, Huddy, K-J, Holly and Huddys friend, Felix! We sat on the beanbags, because by this point all the sofas were taken.... Hehe we had a lot of fun there, and we talked, watched the boys bash each other with beanbags, talked and laughed!
Now I'm going to skip forward a couple of hours, to dinnertime! The Togwells, Greigs(minus Pete), Roberts and Felix and his mum(Dunno their last name) went off to pizza express! We had a lot of fun there, even though we had to wait in costa for half and hour to wait for a table, we got there in the end! By the end we were full up and hyper from the fizzies! We skipped and laughed back to the venue(Huddy got splattered with water by a lady in her car, we think she did it on purpose!), and when we got back Holly was glad to see us all again, apparently she got a bit bored.... Anyways, we talked and laughed again throught the talks downstairs, and me and K-J did do a bit of air guitar in the worship upstairs!
Dad told me that I had to leave with mum at 9pm(he told me this at about ten-to-8), and i complained! More about that later...
Pete's talk was the one we all had to come upstairs and listen to. We all listened to it, aswell as whispering and drawing make-up and moustaches on people in a magazine! Now, Pete's talk was meant to finish at 8:35. Well. Of course it overran! Hehe. We didn't mind though, of course! LOL.
When 9pm came, we were standing up front, talking quietly and listening to the worship(Felix had dissappeared, at one point they made some water baloons, but got told off and had to pop them all outside!), mum came up behind me and asked if I wanted to go home with her and Poppy and Angel now, or stay with dad until 11pm. Well, of course I went for the 11pm option! K-J and Holly and Felix all left at about 9pm, so i missed them, but I still had Huudy and Daniel to amuse me! LOL.
When the time came for us all to leave, I got very sad. Why is it that when you have fun the time flies?! What stupid person came up with that, huh?! Oh well, at least we enjoyed the day, and it couldn't have been better! But believe me, I was soooooooooo tired when we came back!
The next few days of holiday after that were a bit low, because of having kicked off the half term on such a huge high. But then I arranged for Holly to sleepover on Saturday night, which gave me something to look forward to!
When Saturday came, I was sooooooo excited! This had to be a record, seeing Holly twice in the space of one week! Anyway, when she arrived we were both hyper!
What we did: Talked, Whated Mean GIrls(WOOP!), talked, laughed, made digrams explaining people in our classes at school, talked some more, slept for 9 hours, went to the community meal on Sunday(that was fun! Thank you very much Holly for praying for Anna, that was really nice!), and generally just a A LOT of fun!!
Hope you enjoyed this post, if you stuck out long enough to read the whole thing!
